The leading local politikos of Sto. Tomas in Pampanga forged Tuesday a peace covenant for the upcoming May polls.
Mayor Johnny “John” Sambo and Vice Mayor Gloria “Ninang” Ronquillo represented their respective parties of Team Progreso and Team Serbisyong Higit in pledging their “commitment for peaceful and orderly elections for the benefit of the Municipality.”
According to a Facebook post of the local government, a Holy Mass has first held at the St. Thomas the Apostle Parish Church in Barangay Poblacion prior to the Peace Covenant Signing of Sto. Tomas Candidates for this year’s mid-term polls.
Comelec municipal officer Imelda Ramos-Manalastas spearheaded the event, along with Chief Insp. Jayson Constantino, municipal police chief, among others.
A Unity Walk that began from the altar of the church, until the church patio, concluded the event. (END)
